New Executive Director for Opportunity Link

The board of directors of Opportunity Link has named Dr. Terence Munson as its new executive director effective January 2008.

A native of Dodson, Montana, Munson has diverse education and economic development experience in and out of the region for the past thirty-five years. He has been an instructor of mathematics and business in various capacities for twenty years, most recently as associate professor of business at Montana State University-Northern, where he twice served as Department Chair. His background includes international work in corporate business, marketing and service training.

Munson holds an associate’s degree in Diesel Technology and bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, a master’s degree in International Management, and a doctoral degree in organization and management specializing in leadership.

The Northwest Area Foundation established a 10-year partnership with Opportunity Link, Inc. in March 2004. Based in Havre, Montana, Opportunity Link is committed to developing systemic approaches to reducing poverty long term in 11 counties and three Native American reservations in north central Montana.
